César Manrique Tour Itinerary
Having picked you up from the area closest to your hotel, we make our way to Mozaga, found in the centre of Lanzarote.
In this village we will see the first of César Manrique's works on this tour dedicated to the legacy he left on the island. We'll take in the "Monumento al Campesino" (Monument to the Peasant), a homage to rural life. Inside we will appreciate the various tools used in local agriculture, then continue, passing through Teguise and continuing to Haria, where we will stop to admire the natural beauty of the Valle de las Mil Palmeras (Thousand Palm Valley). After we'll make our way to the north-western part of the island.
Our next stop is at the El Rio Viewpoint, designed by César Manrique. Its viewing galleries and panoramic terraces allow spectacular views of La Graciosa island, the largest on the Chinijo archipelago. At 2 pm we will make a stop in the North of Lanzarote, where you'll be free free to have lunch at your own pace, and enjoy the delicious Canarian food.
After lunch, we'll head towards the Jameos del Agua, one of the most magical places on the island. This area of the island serves as a habitat for an endemic species: tiny blind and albino crabs. In addition, inside the Jameos del Agua you can also visit some of the works designed by César Manrique: an auditorium, a swimming pool, a restaurant, gardens.
Then we will head to Tahíche to see the César Manrique Foundation. Here we can visit the Volcano House, where the artist himself lived. It's a unique space, with swimming pools, gardens, and even a dancefloor!
From here we return to the hotels, arriving late in the evening.
